We promote the value of self-progression and continuous improvement. The Stock & Logistics Administrator is a position that can contribute directly to the success of the Company. The position is offered on a permanent basis subject to a successful probationary period. We are looking for a full-time employee capable of fulfilling 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
The purpose of this role is to administer LFI's stock and collaborate strategically with various teams to ensure that the company consistently meets its stock-related objectives and standards. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless stock availability, quality assurance, and logistical support. It is paramount that you are both a meticulous organiser and a proactive problem-solver, capable of maintaining stock integrity while also suggesting and implementing avenues for process improvements. With a comprehensive grasp of LFI's inventory dynamics, you are expected to make informed decisions, drive continuous improvement in stock management, and ensure that the company's values and brand reputation are upheld at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties to manage and maintain (not limited to):
General
Improve LFI’s market position and achieve financial growth.
Exhibit strong leadership for LFI, particularly within the finance department, and ensure all members are motivated, engaged, and focused.
Protect and champion the LFI brand and values at all times both inside and outside of the business.
Understand the roles and responsibilities of all LFI employees. Effectively engage with all processes and procedures within the business and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Where possible, propose solutions when raising problems.
Communicate effectively any issues that may affect customer service levels such as product availability or quality.
Ensure all related digital communication platforms, such as Trello & MS Teams are kept organised and up-to-date.
Identify opportunities for process improvements cost-saving measures and best practice inventory management.
Stock Availability
Work with the Operations Director and Commercial Director to ensure stock ordering and issuing are managed effectively to ensure continuity for production in relation to LFI’s order book, enquiries and sales forecast.
Maintain accurate records of all LFI stock levels and monitor inventory run-out rates against minimum stocking requirements within the ERP system.
Monitor and verify automated Purchase Orders raised by the ERP against minimum stock thresholds and expected supplier lead times.
Where necessary, raise manual Purchase Orders with approved suppliers subject to approval thresholds set within the ERP - if above thresholds these will be authorised by a Director.
+ Collaborate with the Production and logistics Teams to understand their material requirements, how the material is moved/stored and expectations to ensure the availability of stock to service production plans.
Resolve any stock discrepancies and other non-conformances identified, such as shortages, over-ordering, damages, or deterioration of materials, and production scrap loss.
Chase material deliveries with the relevant supplier to ensure the supply is on track in accordance with the expected delivery date and communicate any potential delay with the LFI team.
Maintain and provide regular inventory and stock movement reports detailing stock status of raw materials, consumable items (stock holding) and work-in-progress stock (issued to production) ** Note accurate stock reporting of what is held in stock (not issued) and what stock is issued, including sub-processed stock - i.e., cut rung stock details from issued stock lengths.
Manage the issuing and stock records for items stored and issued from the store area.
Coordinate on-time deliveries and ensure timely availability of materials for production and customer deliveries.
Support Stock-taking to ensure accuracy.
Stock Quality
Manage supply standards to ensure the supplied order meets the agreed purchase order specification.
Communicate and report on any material supply non-conformances to the Operations Director to ensure corrective action is taken including replacement material deliveries if required to avoid any production and delivery delay to our customers.
Communicate any delays and Non-Conformances with the supply of material/service arrangements that impact upon Sales and operational requirements with relevant departmental managers.
Logistics Support
Work with the Logistics Team to organise and optimise designated stock storage areas to maximise efficiency and accessibility by maintaining accurate stock inventory locations and identification for controlling through the Warehouse shipments in our ERP system.
Provide logistics support where necessary, i.e., picking and packing, labelling, carrier management, servicing materials to production, loading LFI vehicles, unloading deliveries, driving duties, or any other support as required by the Logistics Manager.

The successful Logistics Picker Operator will have:
Previous experience in inventory control or logistics support is preferred.
Strong attention to detail is crucial for accurate record-keeping and quality control.
Effective organization skills and stock and inventory systems are essential.
Good communication skills are needed for coordinating with suppliers and other team members.
IT Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications is often necessary.
Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues.
Physical Stamina: Some roles may require the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Time Management: Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members in a warehouse or logistics setting.
SALARY & BENEFITS
LFI offers a competitive salary of £25,500 per annum, rising to £26,500 after a successful 6-month probation with 20 days holiday included (excluding public holidays).
