ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

 

GENERAL POLICY STATEMENT

LFI (2023) Limited recognises that business operations impact the environment and is committed to minimizing the environmental impacts through best practice management controls of our use of energy, transportation, material consumption, water use, waste, and emissions.

The company shall periodically review its environmental policies and procedures and provide commitment towards the continual improvement of our environmental management system in accordance with BS EN 14001 to enhance environmental performance and ongoing prevention of pollution by the following objectives.

  • Continually develop environmental management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with local authorities’ regulatory and legislative requirements relating to the environment

  • Establish documented environmental objectives based on our significant environmental impacts aspects, compliance obligations and risks and opportunities

  • Provide employee training to enhance the environmental awareness of our staff, ensuring environmental issues are considered, controlled, and managed throughout the business operations

  • Develop a sustainable approach to business, in partnership with our suppliers, subcontractors clients and other stakeholders by conserving energy, minimising consumption, and utilisation of low pollution materials, maximising efficiency and implementing an effective Waste Management Hierarchy

  • Ensure that we integrate sustainability considerations into our business decisions

  • Maintain an Integrated Management System that incorporates the Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004

  • Commitment to the prevention of pollution and minimizing environmental impact through energy-efficient plant and processes and effective recycling policies 

  • Effective controls to protect the environment from any significant environmental impacts arising from our business activities

  • Commitment to the continual improvement in our environmental performance, through the implementation of our EMS, and the establishment of measurable environmental objectives and targets. These will be documented, implemented, maintained, monitored, and reviewed periodically.
