WE REQUIRE A LOGISTICS PICKER OPERATOR TO START IMMEDIATELY
We promote the value of self-progression and continuous improvement. The Logistics Picker Operator is a position that can contribute directly to the success of the Company. The position is offered on a permanent basis subject to a successful probationary period. We are looking for full-time hours, working Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 5.00pm and Friday 7.30am - 1.00pm.
The ideal Logistics Picker Operator will perform well in a quick-paced, busy environment, and be able to locate, label, pack and load the correct products according to the requirements of customer orders, and do so to the highest of standards. Based at our headquarters in Newent, Gloucestershire, organisation and communication skills are vital to the role, with teamwork and attention to detail being paramount too. A current UK forklift and/or side loader forklift license is an advantage, although training will be given to the right candidate.
Responsibilities and Duties to manage and maintain (not limited to):
Communicate effectively any issues that may affect customer service levels such as product availability or quality
Ensure you have received the correct training on labelling, packing and loading of products
Work effectively within the team to locate, label, pack and load the correct products as required on the stock-picking notes
Ensure the best quality of the product is loaded onto vehicles for delivery to customers
Report any product quality and stock discrepancies to the Logistic Planning Manager management for corrective action
Report any raw material quality and stock concerns to management for corrective action
Offload materials from supplier vehicles and check deliveries with the Purchasing Manager
Ensure supplied materials are stored safely to prevent damage and deterioration
Ensure good timekeeping standards are maintained to a high standard
Maintain the highest Health, Safety & Environmental standards
Maintain good housekeeping standards
Continually enhance personal training and development plans. (CPD)
Adhere to the Company Values and rules in accordance with the handbook requirements.
The successful Logistics Picker Operator will have:
Good communication skills in English
Knowledge of H&S practices, and can demonstrate working in a safe manner
Good concentration and be a methodical worker
Experience working in a busy environment
Good English skills are vital in this role.
SALARY & BENEFITS
For the right candidate, training will be provided for forklifts and side loader forklifts. LFI offers a competitive salary of £10.50 per hour, increasing to £12.00 per hour upon completion of training and being fully competent with yard machinery.
